When a cooling-off period applies
Eligible distance and off-premises consumer contracts generally carry a 14-day cancellation right. For a services-only contract, the period normally ends 14 days after the contract is made. Supply-and-fit contracts can be treated as sales contracts, with the period linked to delivery of the goods. The correct information for your particular contract must be given before you agree it.
Starting sooner and urgent repairs
Where cancellation rights apply, an early start requires your express request. A proportionate charge for services already supplied may be due if the legal conditions are met. The right can end on full performance only where the required consent and acknowledgement have been obtained.
There is a limited exception where you specifically request a visit for urgent repairs or maintenance. Extra work or goods beyond that request are not automatically exempt.
How to cancel
Send a clear cancellation statement to info@staydryroofers.co.uk, or call 07362 719714. You can also write to Staydry Roofers Ltd, 64 Alma Street, Luton, England, LU1 2PL. You do not have to use a particular form. Keep a record of when you sent your cancellation. For a service cancellation, any refund due is normally payable without undue delay and within 14 days of being told. For goods, the law can allow repayment to wait until the goods or evidence of their return is received. Refunds use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed, without a refund fee.
Cancellation form (optional)
Your quotation and contract should include the specific cancellation notice and any early-start request relevant to the work. This general website page is not a substitute for those documents.
